Hummingbird Gift Card Holder

Humming Along Gift Card Holder

The hummingbird from the Humming Along Stamp Set pairs perfectly with the Bouquet Blooms Bundle. The little flower from the bundle is used to create this cheery thank you gift card holder. The edgelits make an easy way for the card to stay closed with the gift card inside.

Petal Palette Thank You Card

Petal Palette Stamp Set by Stampin' UP!

I knew that I wanted to color the beautiful cabbage roses from the Petal Palette stamp set in Cherry Cobbler so I colored the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  The roses were cut out on the Big Shot using the matching framelits. I really loved how they looked.

I added the textured  behind them using the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder on a piece of Old Olive card stock and then cut it out on the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The sentiment comes from this stamp set as well.

Case This Sketch #234

Best birds Stamp Set by Stampin' UP

Today's card was inspired by a sketch challenge from Case This Sketch.  The bird image from the Best Birds stamp set is set upon the Burlap background stamp.  The simple color palette sets off the image nicely.  I flipped the sketch to a horizontal format to accommodate the larger sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set.

Emboss Resist Technique

Emboss Resist Technique features the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set

Emboss Resist is a technique that creates a lot of impact for very little effort.   On a small piece of whisper white card stock, you simply stamp the Brushstrokes image in Versamark ink, sprinkle with clear or white embossing powder, and then melt it with a heat gun.

Using sponge wedges, sponge each of the five colors right over the top of the embossing.  Wipe the remaining ink off the embossed stripes with a paper towel.  So much fun while being a quick technique. Try it out!
