I designed this card so that it would fit into a standard business sized envelope for mailing. It features the Sweet Sugarplum 2016-2018 in-color, lots of gold accents, and a Very Vanilla Background.

Every once in a while, I like to play and combine a lot of card challenges. Today's card combines three different ideas: card design, card layout and color. Make sure to check out these fabulous blog sites. They are a terrific source of inspiration on those days when you are having creative block and can't seem to come up with an idea.
I used two on the above card for the banners behind the sentiment. I also added a touch of the gold foil outlined with the stitched framelits. This card was CASEd from the annual catalog's sample. I love the mini chevron ribbon in this suite. It is so soft and easy to work with. I added a touch of it tied off with white twine. The Glitter Enamel dots add a touch of sparkle.
The Color Theory Suite in the Stampin' UP Annual Catalog is one of the most versatile sets in the catalog. It works for all the seasons and has coordinating products for memory keeping as well. The DSP 6x6 stack has lovely tonal papers that have an ombre effect like in the card pictured above.
Self Criticism How many times in our own heads have we sabotaged ourselves by saying, “It’s too hard, I can’t do it?”. All too often, we judge and criticize ourselves so much that it brings us to a halt. So just for today, let’s stop being so critical of ourselves. Just let the creative juices flow and see…
