Beautiful Bouquet Bundle I designed this card for my friend's birthday and had a lot of fun combining the In Color's from the annual catalog and the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle elements. I used a Basic Black card base and framed the bouquet with Berry Burst card stock. It was then set on a Whisper White ruffled background.
I used two on the above card for the banners behind the sentiment. I also added a touch of the gold foil outlined with the stitched framelits. This card was CASEd from the annual catalog's sample. I love the mini chevron ribbon in this suite. It is so soft and easy to work with. I added a touch of it tied off with white twine. The Glitter Enamel dots add a touch of sparkle.
Today's card was inspired by a sketch challenge from Case This Sketch. The bird image from the Best Birds stamp set is set upon the Burlap background stamp. The simple color palette sets off the image nicely. I flipped the sketch to a horizontal format to accommodate the larger sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set.
Emboss Resist is a technique that creates a lot of impact for very little effort. On a small piece of whisper white card stock, you simply stamp the Brushstrokes image in Versamark ink, sprinkle with clear or white embossing powder, and then melt it with a heat gun. Using sponge wedges, sponge each of the five colors right over the top of the embossing. Wipe the remaining ink off the embossed stripes with a paper towel. So much fun while being a quick technique. Try it out!
This cute little bike features the Bike Ride Stamp Set and combines the Global Design Project Challenge and the Fusion Tulips on a Bike Challenge. It uses the Lovely Words Thinlits with the friend sentiment cut out from the oval shape. I used similar colors to the Fusion Challenges color palette. The card it set … Continue reading Friendly Bike Card
It is always a fun time of year when Stampin' UP releases the new in color palette that is good for the next two years. I was ecstatic when I saw the new Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst. It reminds me so much of those neon colors that I grew up with as a teenager in the '80s. Simply fun and beautiful!
Eastern Palace Bundles Stampin' UP has given both demonstrators and customers an exclusive early release of this great suite of products featuring the Eastern Palace Suite. I have paired it here with the Wood Textures Designer Series paper. The DSP changes the look of the suite completely. I love it with the gold paper accent … Continue reading Eastern Palace & Wood Textures Combo
This card demonstrates that paper piecing can definitely have the feel of stained glass. For this card, I cut the flower tag from the Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies three times. One using basic black cardstock, and one each of the sugarplum glimmer paper and the mint macaron glimmer paper
At times, it can seem like there are really limited options out there for making a masculine looking card. Stampin' UP has done a great job by creating this bundle of products to do just that. Appropriately named the Nailed It Bundle, this stamp set and coordinating framelits make this task simple. Pair it with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder and you have a great looking card with minimal effort. But no one else will guess that!
Today's technique is simply to stamp the dancing girl image from the Beautiful You stamp set on very vanilla cardstock and the DSP. I used early espresso ink for this. I cut around the dress and hat with my paper snips on the DSP piece. Then you simply glue that piece on to the very vanilla piece to get the colorful dress image.
