This magical mermaid birthday card idea came from creating a Brusho watercolored background. When it dried it reminded me of the ocean, so I pulled out the Magical Mermaid stamp set. It looks great paired with the leaf ribbon from the annual catalog.
This hummingbird card features Brusho watercoloring as well as traditional coloring with Stampin' Blends. If you have never tried Brusho, it is a lot of fun to work see what all those color crystals will do when sprinkled on wet watercolor paper. The vibrant colors are simply awesome.
What is Brusho?
Brusho Crystal Colours are versatile watercolor ink crystals that can be used in several different ways. They are incredibly vivid, vibrant, and brilliant colors and are completely intermixable.
This cute belated birthday card features the adorable sloth from the Quirky Critters Stamp Set in the annual catalog. The image was stamped with memento ink and colored with the Stampin' Blends. Using the Layering Circle framelits also from the annual catalog, the image is cut out on the big shot along with a scalloped frame cut from garden green card stock. The framelits come with 16 dies in a variety of different sizes that will be a go to for all your card making needs.
Try out the Brusho crystals by sprinkling them on wet watercolor paper. Let the background dry and then add the palm trees in night of navy and the sun in Tangerine Tango. You can blend as much as you like with an aqua painter.
