What’s a throw down?
Every so often I like to challenge myself to use products that I’ve bought but not utilized. So today I did a “throw down”. Our Vienna stamp club has done this on several getaway weekends and they are a lot of fun.
Basically, you pick a stamp set, a few colors, a DSP pack or even a technique. You let the creative juices flow and see what you can come up with utilizing the items. The results are definitely worth it.
I picked the Touched My Heart Host Stamp Set for this project. I haven’t used this much other than a sentiment once. Time to get inky!
I then picked the color palette with a focus on Magenta Madness. I cut some cardstock and made a video!
Here is the color palette:

Dot Coloring Technique
Even once in a while, I will catch a YouTube video that really catches my eye. I recently watched a video by Jennifer McGuire where she demonstrated a card made with the Dot Coloring Technique. I don’t think this is a new technique as many artists use dots to make art but I loved how she incorporated into her card.
I really wanted to try this out so I made an “on the fly” video. I usually try out a project before I make a video but not this time! Let me know what you think of my throw down with this technique.
