Magical Mermaid Color Palette

Brusho Inspiration
This magical mermaid birthday card idea came from creating a Brusho watercolored background. When it dried it reminded me of the ocean, so I pulled out this stamp set.
First wet watercolor paper with an aqua painter and then sprinkle your Brusho colors on the paper. The Brusho colors that were used on this card were Moss Green, Prussian Blue, and Yellow. Every Brusho background will come out a little different, but that is the fun of it!
Once the watercolored paper is dry, cut it out with a Rectangular Stitched Framelit on the Big Shot. The mermaid and sentiment were stamped in memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. The mermaid was cut out with paper snips and is popped up with dimensionals. Make sure to add some shimmer to her tail with Clear Wink of Stella.

Leaf Ribbon

Have you seen this fun ribbon in the annual catalog? Who would have guessed that it would make great seaweed for this card?
Unfortunately, this picture really doesn’t do it justice. It has a beautiful sheen to it that doesn’t come across in the photo too well.
You could use this in so many ways. Try out a jungle themed card, vines with flowers, or maybe just scatter the small leaves on a card. So pretty!

You will want to add this beautiful Designer Series Paper to your cart. It has several sheets with a pearlized finish. I choose the mint macaron leaves for the background on this card.
