Brusho Watercoloring
This card features Brusho watercoloring as well as traditional coloring with Stampin’ Blends. If you have never tried Brusho, it is a lot of fun to work see what all those color crystals will do when sprinkled on wet watercolor paper. The vibrant colors are simply awesome.
For my card, I used the Brilliant Red, Prussian Blue and Yellow. To open your Brusho color, use a pushpin to create a small hole in the top. You can use the same pushpin to close it again. You will use it like a little salt shaker.
Cut a piece of watercolor paper a little larger than your notecard. Tape the corners of the watercolor paper down to a piece of scrap paper with washi tape or another low tack tape. It keeps the paper from curling too much.
Now just wet the watercolor paper with an aquapainter using a good amount of water. Sprinkle the crystals on the paper one color at a time letting them spread and meld together. Set aside to dry completely.
Once the watercolor paper has completely dried, cut out the block with a Rectangular Stitched Framelits and glue with multipurpose glue to a notecard front. The white shape behind the hummingbird was cut from the matching framelits and glued on to the watercolored paper. The hummingbird is attached with dimensionals.
