A Shower of Hearts

It’s hard to believe but this is the 31st Valentine’s Day for my husband and myself. I couldn’t ask for a better life partner than Don. He’s always been there for me and we have shared so many adventures together. He is the best husband, father and grandfather that anyone could want.

I created this handmade Valentine with a matching envelope for him with a few simple supplies and the Meant to Be Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up Occasions Catalog.

Meant to Be Stamp Set

The sentiments in this set really sold me on it. I love the script font. It is so perfect for a Valentine’s Day Card. Your sweetheart will love it too.

Handwritten Background Stamp

The multitude of handwritten sentiments were perfect for this card. Using Merry Merlot ink made the card a bit more masculine for the occasion.

Here is a helpful hint. I recommend using the stamparatus with this background stamp to help make sure that you get good coverage over the entire image. You can always restamp as needed. I used to buy all my background stamps on a wood block but have switched to the clear mount so I can use them with the stamparatus. What an essential tool this has become in my craft room!

Also, did you know that you can mask off a particular sentiment from this background stamp? There are so many possibilities here. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of these tips.
