Easy Gift Idea
As I was browsing the aisles at HomeGoods the other day, I came upon a set of wooden coasters and thought that these plain wood rounds could use a little jazzing up. This is a simple project to duplicate and comes together quickly. It doesn’t require many supplies either.
This permanent ink is perfect for stamping images to watercolor and for nonporous surfaces. These wood coaster were sealed already with a clear coat so they work fine. Stazon ink is waterproof so the sweat from your glass won’t ruin the image.
To make the coasters, simply stamp the image where you want it on the coaster. To speed up the drying time, use your heat tool.
Please note that I masked off one of the trees for the multiple tree coaster. The stamp was a little to long to fit the coaster.
Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set
This stamp set can be found in Stampin’ Up’s Annual Catalog. Did you know that it is the longest running set in the catalog? I hope it never retires because it is so versatile and great for every season of the year. It contains six classic images and the stamps are red rubber and available in clear mount or wood mount.
Package the Coasters
To make the coasters ready for gifting, tie a bow with the 5/8″ (1.6 Cm) Striped Burlap Trim from the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog. The tag is punched with the Everyday Label Punch and then it is folded in half.
The “For You” sentiment is stamped with Stazon on a scrap of the Wood Textures DSP using the Tags and Tidings Photopolymer Stamp. The tags surrounding the sentiment were masked off when you stamp it. It is attached to the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
