Tropical Chic Bundle

This beautiful bundle from Stampin’ Up includes the Tropical Chic Clear-Mount Stamp Set and the Tropical Thinlits Dies. Wherever you find your inspiration, the projects you create with this set will be eye-catching!  I personally love the beach so I knew I had to have this in my collection.

The stamp set includes 9 rubber stamps.  The Tropical Thinlits Dies includes 8 dies with the largest die measuring 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ (6.7 x 6.7 cm).  You will be able to create  die-cut tropical ornaments in record time with these Thinlits dies and the Big Shot.

The Coordinating colors are : Basic Black, Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, and Whisper White.  For my card, I used the bold stripe and the matching palm tree papers as a background for my images.

Matching Pizza Box

I included a matching pizza box with my card as the palm tree die cut fits perfectly on the top. It is perfect for fitting a small gift or candy for a special birthday.

Creating the Flowers

Here’s a little tip on creating these tropical chic flowers.  Using Blushing Bride ink, stamp off on scrap paper before stamping on Whisper White card stock.  It makes the color a lot lighter.  I did this six times.

Then using a sponge dauber, I tapped it on a Melon Mambo ink pad and daubed the center of each flower.  It makes them a bit more interesting.  I then added a small pearl to the center of each flower with the Take Your Pick tool.  The tool makes it so easy to place small embellishments with the little spatula end. It was one of my Top Ten Picks from the Stampin’ Up 2018 Holiday Catalog.
