Best Birds Stamp Set

These little birds are the perfect stamp set for any occasion. My husband and I are celebrating 29 years of marriage today! I thought this stamp set would make him a nice card to celebrate our anniversary.

The set comes with 13 photopolymer stamps that are great for coloring with your favorite medium. I choose the Stampin’ Blends for this card. I loved the little cross hatched stamp done in Merry Merlot ink as the background.

The little bird was easy to color. His belly is colored in Soft Suede. I lightened the area by the wing with the Color Lifter. His wing is done in Smoky Slate. The branch of the tree is colored with the Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. These elements were cut out with the matching framelits on the Big Shot.

Speaking of anniversaries, Stampin’ Up is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. The company created this paper to celebrate the milestone. The annual catalog has a lot of products with pearls!

These hand painted designs are on heavyweight sheets. Four of these designs have a translucent, pearlized finish.

The sentiments for the inside of my card are from the Petal Palette Stamp Set. The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. This set has a lot of wonderful sentiments to choose from.
