Silver Embossing
What could be more elegant than a silver embossed wedding card made with the Petal Palette stamp set from Stampin’ UP? How about a wedding card enhanced with the softness of watercoloring those beautiful roses?
This effect is so simple to create. After you stamp your rose image on whisper white card stock using versa mark ink, emboss by sprinkling on silver emboss powder and set with the heat tool. Then color the roses and leaves with the Stampin’ UP watercolor pencils and blend the color with an Aqua Painter. The color lends a softness to the card and is simply beautiful. Here is Stampin’ UP video that illustrates how to watercolor with an Aqua Painter.
Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without adding that same silver embossing to the “Best Wishes” sentiment which is also from the Petal Palette stamp set. The sentiment is cut out with the matching frame lit dies on the Big Shot. It is backed by the florish from the same die set cut out on the Big Shot in silver foil.
Adding Other Embellishments
The lovely silver stripe paper comes from the Springtime Foils DSP pack. It is a FREE Sale-a-Bration item that you get for spending $50 in my online store. This is one of the best freebies of Sale-a-Bration this year. It can be used on cards, tags, boxes, and more. You get a total of 12 sheets: 3 each of 4 single-sided designs. The designs come in three colors: Gold foil, Rose Gold foil, Silver foil and are the 12″ x 12″ size.
Finish off the card with a lovely bow from the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon from the Annual Catalog. Add a few of the Glitter & Epoxy Shapes to the front for some added bling.

Petal Palette Bundle
Bundle and save when you buy these two coordinating products together and save 10%. You get the Petal Palette Clear-Mount Stamp Set which you can use with watercolor techniques for unique artistic cards. It includes 15 rubber stamps with a variety of sentiments for all occasions. I really love the font that Stampin’ Up used in this set. So elegant looking!
You also get the Petals & More Thinlits Dies. You can create beautiful die-cut petal accents in record time with Thinlits dies and the Big Shot. The set includes 10 dies which work with the stamp set as well as some additional flourishes.

Finish the Inside
To finish the inside of the wedding card, emboss a sentiment from the same stamp set in silver on whisper white card stock. Mat it with a silver foil frame and attach to the inside of the card with snail.
National Craft Month
Did you know that March is National Craft Month? It was created in 1994 by the Craft & Hobby Association to promote all the benefits of crafting.
Crafting creates a sense of mindfulness of the task at hand. It helps with focus, social connections, teaches patience and problem solving. It is a great way to teach and encourage learning for both children and adults. Even Albert Einstein was said to have knitted between his projects to “calm his mind and clear his thinking”. The practice of crafting can help reduce stress and anxiety. Who can ask for more than that?
The Stampin’ UP company mission is simple, as detailed in its Statement of the Heart:
“To love what we do and share what we love
As we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments.
In this we make a difference.”
Shop with me using the hostess code and get a bonus of the Tutti Fruitti Adhesive Backed Sequins FREE with a $50 order.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Enjoy crafting in March! Please consider subscribing to my blog to get email updates of new projects and all the latest Stampin’ UP news. Just type in your email address at the bottom of this post. Have a great day and go make something beautiful!
