Do you like Old Olive?
Sometimes you just need to step outside your comfort zone and try something different. Old Olive is one of those colors that never really excited me. I tend to use really bright vibrant colors for my paper projects. But I think that this color palette actually works!
By changing the sentiment on this card, it could easily be a sympathy, get well, Mother’s Day, or birthday card.
Petal Palette Stamp Set
I knew that I wanted to color the beautiful cabbage roses from the Petal Palette stamp set in Cherry Cobbler so I colored the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. The roses were cut out on the Big Shot using the matching framelits. I really loved how they looked.
I added the textured behind them using the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder on a piece of Old Olive card stock and then cut it out on the Big Shot with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The sentiment comes from this stamp set as well.
This stamp set comes with 15 different stamps. Eight of these stamps are some really nice sentiments that can be used for a lot of different occasions. They have that watercolor feel to them and work with a lot of different coloring techniques.
