Washi Winter Wonderland

Merry Little Labels Washi Card

Washi Winter Wonderland

The Colorful Seasons Bundle is definitely one of my favorite things from the Annual Catalog.  I decided to use the winter themed die to create an unusual combination of snowflakes using Washi tape.  Paired up with the Merry Little Labels Bundle, which includes the stamp set and matching punch, the little sentiment makes a wonderful winter card.

Most people really don’t know what to do with Washi tape other than to hold dies in place on your big shot. It really can be a versatile element in scrapbooking and card making.  It is a simple way to add pattern and color.  But did you know that you can stick it down to a piece of whisper white card stock in any pattern you like, and then place your die over it and cut it on the big shot?

The result is a die cut with a thicker texture and some fun color to boot! Try it out! I set my washi snowflakes on a background of more washi tape as well as stamped snowflakes and rhinestones.

These fun colors were pul right from the Basics Pack 3 Washi Tape in the Stampin’ UP annual catalog.  It had a lot of great patterns and they reminded me of winter time.

  1. I just love this color combo for the holidays. I usually like to do a christian card and then a fun card too, and this fits the bill for the latter. Really love this card (love snow too) 🙂

    1. I love these colors together as well and the washi tape adds a bit of whimsy. Thanks for the lovely comment. 🤗
