“Animals are such agreeable friends ― they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.” ― George Eliot

Animals hold a special place in our hearts.  When I lost my family dog, Lucky, in 2014, I wasn’t sure that I would ever get another one.  It was so difficult watching him get old.  The last two years of his life were spent sleeping and turning his nose up at the special diet that he had to eat for his bad kidneys.  I don’t blame him.  That food smelled awful.

My children had grown up with him.  We got him when my youngest son was just three.  He was a curious and very hard to train puppy.  At one point, he ate a hole in the drywall! Westhighland terriors are stubborn. But gosh, how we loved that dog.  Lucky lived to be fifteen.  Saying goodbye was really difficult.

Flash forward to January 2017.  My husband and I decided to take the plunge and get a new puppy.  We named him Buddy.  He is the cutest ball of energy!  There is nothing better than this little ball of fur snuggling on your lap or chasing one of his toys.

Do you have a special animal in your life?

Santa Paws

This towering tree of pets in the holiday catalog really caught my eye.  It just reminds me of all the joy our furry friends give us.

Santa Paws Stamp Set

For this card, I chose a base of Tranquil Tide highlighted by the panel of Lemon Lime Twist embossed with the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The tree image was stamped using Stazon ink and colored with the Many Marvelous Markers.  The sentiment was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink and fussy cut with paper snips.  To top off the towering tree of pets, I chose a felt bow in the Tranquil Tide color from the 2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bows.

Let me know what you think of my card in the comments section.  Cheers to our pets!
