Happy Birthday Thinlit
To get the gorgeous happy birthday sentiment for today’s sample card, run the Happy Birthday Thinlit through the Big Shot on the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and then once on the striped DSP from the Birthday Memories DSP pack. Stack them on top of each other a bit askew. It creates a colorful shadow for the sentiment.
The little baker is stamped in Early Espresso ink, colored with markers and cut out on the Big Shot with his matching thinlit.

Emboss Resist Technique
Emboss Resist is a technique that creates a lot of impact for very little effort. On a small piece of whisper white card stock, you simply stamp the Brushstrokes image in Versamark ink, sprinkle with clear or white embossing powder, and then melt it with a heat gun.
Using sponge wedges, sponge each of the five colors right over the top of the embossing. Wipe the remaining ink off the embossed stripes with a paper towel. So much fun while being a quick technique. Try it out!
Label Me Pretty Bundle
Using the little label from the Label Me Pretty stamp set, stamp the curly cue in Fresh Fig ink and the sentiment “You’re the Best” in Tranquil tide. Just punch it out with the coordinating punch. I love that Stampin’ UP makes this so easy. Top it off with a In Color Bitty Bow. I chose the Lemon Lime Twist one. Done!
This cute little bike features the Bike Ride Stamp Set and combines the Global Design Project Challenge and the Fusion Tulips on a Bike Challenge. It uses the Lovely Words Thinlits with the friend sentiment cut out from the oval shape. I used similar colors to the Fusion Challenges color palette. The card it set on a Bermuda Bay base, with the brick wall embossed on Basic Gray cardstock. The bike is stamped with Pool Party for the frame with the wheels done in Basic Gray ink. The handles, seat, peddles, and flowers are colored in with Peekaboo Peach ink.

Stampin’ UP New In Colors
It is always a fun time of year when Stampin’ UP releases the new in color palette that is good for the next two years. I was ecstatic when I saw the new Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst. It reminds me so much of those neon colors that I grew up with as a teenager in the ’80s. Simply fun and beautiful! Leave me a comment and tell me what your new favorite in color is this year.
New Glossy Paper
I am so glad to see that in the new catalog that Stampin’ UP reintroduced the glossy white cardstock. This paper has a nice shine to it without having to add anything. I used it here for the punched daisies on these 3×3 gift cards. The center of the flower is punched from in color card stock using the 1/2″ circle punch. It is highlighted with clear wink of stella.
These cute little daisies couldn’t be easier to make with the new daisy punch. These 3×3 cards happen to fit perfectly in the new wood crate framelit die box. Simply run the die through twice to get two pieces. I used the Wood Textures DSP stack for this. Assemble by gluing the two bottom pieces together and folding along the score lines and gluing them inside the edges.
Wood Words Stamp Set
This stamp set is so cute. I love the built in texture it provides on all the little shapes. It coordinates so perfectly with the wood crate.
