A Special Gift
This gift duo will be a hit as a hostess gift or for a special friend. The candle was purchased from Bath and Body Works. I sprinkled the green mica flakes in the cellophane bag for some glitz and then tied it closed with the Real Red 3/4 inch Stitched Edge Ribbon.
The Santa shaker card is filled with the white mica flakes and is popped up with the foam strips from the annual catalog.
The Christmas Greetings thinlit die with the jolly sentiment adds the right touch of glitter to the Detailed Santa thinlit die. It is framed with a banner and a doily background. I cut my whisper white cardstock to 4″x4″ to make sure when I cut out the Santa that I had enough edge for the foam adhesive strips.
I recommend using the Precision Base Plate with this die because of the detail. Also, use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Santa to the window sheet. The trick to not making a mess is to let the glue dry for a few minutes so it is just tacky and then stick it to the window sheet. It won’t ooze all over then.
Santa’s eyes and nose are made with the Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with a black and red Sharpie marker. Finish the envelope off with a liner cut from the Candy Cane Lane DSP.
Inside the Card
The inside of he card is stamped with a sentiment from the Peace this Christmas stamp set. Stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink. It is set off with a strip of leftover DSP from the Candy Cane Lane DSP pack and a layer of crumb cake cardstock behind it.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Please leave me a comment. I love hearing from you!
