Freshly Made Sketches #247 featured a nice layout that I decided to use for this cute wedding card.
The Floral Boutique DSP pack has a nice neutral palette of Night of Navy and Whisper White. This classic paper pack is great for special occasion cards and scrapbook layouts. Pair it with the Floral Phrases stamp set and you have a perfect combo of complementary products for all your craft projects. Highlight the floral stamped image with the wink of stella pen for a little glitz.
The inside of the card is kept very simple by just using a scrap of the leftover DSP and a sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set. I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please consider using me as your demonstrator. I would love to have you as a customer! This Christmas Suite
Christmas is actually my favorite time to work on craft projects, especially card making. Fab Friday #92 gave me a little nudge to try some of the new product suite in the annual Stampin’ UP catalog. The “This Christmas Suite” features a lovely new stamp set called Peace This Christmas. The DSP featured in this suite uses the colors that Fab Friday featured in this challenge. Check out all the beautiful coordinating products on page 27 of the annual catalog.
New Layering Oval Framelits
If you have been wondering if you really need another set of oval framelits, you do! These are really wonderful for creating all the beautiful layers around your sentiments, plus the include the scalloped edge dies too.
Stampin’ UP makes beautiful paper packaging products to use for teacher gifts, your postman, kid’s holiday parties, and hostess gifts. The envelope has a matching liner to the card. Also, I included a little gift box project that takes minutes to make using the bow punch. The little bow works great for the clear boxes that are also in the catalog this year. The clear tiny treat boxes are a great value because you get 16 for only $7.50! Time to get a jump start on the crafting for the season. Freshly Made Sketch 246‘s beautiful tag inspiration caught my eye today. If you haven’t noticed the new Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate on page 175 of the annual catalog, you should check it out. It is doubled sided – silver on one side and gold on the other. There are 3 different designs; scallop, polka dots and the one pictured above on the tag. I can’t wait to use this on my Christmas tags this year. It adds a bit of elegance.
This card also features two new stamp sets: Falling Flowers & Banners For You. Falling Flowers includes the lovely flourish that I used on the background as well as the flower image that was cut using the matching framelit. The Banners For You stamp set will be a much loved set because it included 21 sentiments that you can place on 4 different banners. It also has matching framelits which make cutting a snap on the big shot.
I also decided to use a color that I haven’t used much, Elegant Eggplant. It looks great with the gold accents on the card. I highlight the flower image with gold and clear wink of stella and the middle of the flower with gold dazzling details. I hope you enjoyed my latest creation. Check out my online store by clicking any image in the supply list. Have a great day!
Retro Sketches #223 inspired this classic take on a wedding card. I have been dying to play with the Beautiful Banners stamp set and this was the perfect challenge to try it out.
The classic color palette keeps the card from being overdone with all the patterns going on in the Floral Boutique DSP from Stampin’ UP! A touch of silver in the hearts adds some glamour.
The great sentiment from the same stamp set gets framed out in the little knot image. I hope you enjoyed my take on this sketch. Please consider visiting my online shop by clicking an item in the Supply List below. I would love to earn your business. Leave me some feedback as to what you think and feel free to share this post.
Now through July 31st, if you spend $50 in the Stampin’ UP! merchandise, you will get a coupon for $5 off another purchase in August. An email will be sent to you with a coupon code. Today’s card inspiration comes from Freshly Made Sketch #245 card sketch and TGIF Card Challenge #64’s theme of summertime. The Daffodil Delight card base adds a big of sunshine to the flower background.
To make this card, start with a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock cut at 4 1/2″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. Cut a piece of gold foil to 2 1/4″ x 4″. Run the gold foil through the Big Shot using the Precision base plate and Detailed Floral thinlet die (the smaller one). Trim the piece at the top to make it even, if necessary.
Emboss the birdcage image and the little hello message on Very Vanilla card stock using Versamark ink and gold embossing powder. Punch out with their matching punches. Attach the gold foil flowers to the top of the card with snail. Attach the birdcage and banner with stampin’ dimensionals. Make a bow out of the trim and attach with a glue dot.
