Today’s card is inspired by the MoJo Monday #440 sketch. My card took on a rustic flair with the Bear Hugs stamp set as the centerpiece. I hope you enjoy my entry for this week’s sketch.
Cut a base of pacific point card stock to the dimensions of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ then score at 4 1/4″. Cut a 2 pieces of chocolate chip card stock to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Using the Hardwood background stamp inked with early espresso ink, stamp the woodgrain on both chocolate chip pieces. Cut a length of island indigo chevron ribbon to 7 inches. Attach the ribbon to the card front.
Cut 2 pieces of pacific point card stock to 1 3/4″ x 3″. Punch a circle out of crumb cake card stock. Using the Lovely Lace embossing folder, run the pacific point pieces through the big shout. Line the medallion on the Lovely Lace embossing folder up on the crumb cake circle and run it through the big shot. Decorate the scallop circle medallion with clear wink of stella.
Sponge the pacific point pieces with pacific point ink. Sponge the crumb cake piece with early espresso ink. Stamp the small bear from the Bear Hugs stamp set in early espresso ink and the sentiment in pacific point ink. Color the bear’s ears and nose with markers. Cut the sentiment out with the Bitty Banners framelit. Cut the bear out with it’s coordinating framelit.
Attach all the pieces to the front of the card as shown with dimensionals. Attach the other woodgrain piece to the inside of the card and put another circle out of the crumb cake card stock. Stamp a sentiment on the circle and attach both pieces to the inside of the card.
