Simple Birthday Card

susan_bday

This card is perfect for a beginning stamper to try and uses one of my favorite little images which is that cute little cupcake.  Starting with a base card of Crushed Curry cardstock cut 4 1/4″ by 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.  Cut a piece of the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper to the dimensions of 3 3/4″ x 5″.  Attach it to the card front using snail adhesive. The photo above show the reverse side of the paper on two different cards.

Stamp three cupcake images on Whisper White cardstock using the three colors: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron.  Punch them out with the cupcake punch.  Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment in your choice of ink color on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the second framelit from the Deco Labels Collection on the Big Shot.

Cut another Deco Label frame from the It’s My Party paper stack using the third largest framelit.  Attach the Happy Birthday layer to the DSP paper with snail.  Attach the cupcake images below it using Stampin’ dimensionals. Attach the entire piece to the front of the card with Stampin’ dimensionals.  To finish, tie a bow in the color of twine you like, and attach to card with a glue dot.
