Handmade cards and gifts really make family and friends feel special. This cute little card feels like an old fashioned Christmas to me. Set on a basic background of Crumb Cake cardstock with a hint of vintage crochet trim at the bottom, the recipient will be sure to light up with a big smile.

Starting with a base card of crumb cake, add layer of cherry cobbler card stock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4. Cut another layer of crumb cake card stock at 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. Emboss the crumb cake layer with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Stamp 3 tree images, one in crumb cake ink, one in old olive ink and the last one in cherry cobbler ink. Punch the trees out with the tree punch.

Cut a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/8″ strip of the plaid paper from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper pack and adhere a 6″ piece of the Venetian Crochet Trim to the bottom edge. Adhere the plaid strip to the crumb cake layer wrapping the ends the trim around the cardstock. Adhere the layer to the front of the card.

Adhere two trees on the right side of the strip with snail and pop the red tree up on dimensionals. Cut a flower on the polka dot paper with the Floral Frames Collection Framelits Die on the big shot. Using the Lots Of Labels Framelits Die, cut a label from the cherry cobbler paper. Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Lots of Joy stamp set in old olive ink on whisper white paper. Cut the sentiment out with the 2″ circle punch. Layer all of these on dimensionals and attach to the left side of the card.

Thread a piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine through a Gold Basic Metal Button and make a bow. Attach the button to the right side of the sentiment.
