Who wants to clean my craft room?
As I stared at my messy craft room last night, I decided rather than cleaning up that I would rather stamp a card with a new stamp set from the new Stampin’ UP! holiday catalog. Yes, I would rather get ink on my hands and glitter in my hair than clean. There is always tomorrow for that!
So here is my new project made with the “Dove of Peace” Stamp Set and the “A Little Something” Stamp Set.

Since I still love to color, this was one of the stamp sets that caught my eye right away. I decided to use varying shades of blue and green tones. The colors that I used were:
- Soft Sky
- Pool Party
- Mint Macaron
- Coastal Cabana
- Tempting Turquoise
- Marina Mist
I used strips of the “Cherry on Top” Designer Series Paper Stack (#138443) because they reminded me of winter snow even though the stack is birthday papers mostly. I love this stack of DSP because the papers are so brightly colored and the designs are fun. The whisper white card base is cut to the standard 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. The dove was stamped with the archival black stamp pad and then I fussy cut it out with scissors. After I colored it, I used the fine tipped glue pen on the feather tips and sprinkled dazzling diamonds glitter on the ends.
I went on to layer a piece of the whisper white satin ribbon (#134549) over one of the paper strips. I popped the dove up on dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on whisper white card stock and before punching it out, I traced around the punch edge with a black marker to get the thin line around the sentiment. I added the silver ribbon bow, a few small pearls and done!
